The Dance Kids are back once more with their Christmas show ‘The Greatest Snowman’ which takes place on the 29th and 30th of December in An Tàin Arts Centre.

Dundalk’s Cuchulainn Cycling Club recently held their AGM in The Spirit Store to discuss the season past and to outline the future development of the club. Club Chairman Sé Weston in his opening address outlined some of the some of the club’s milestones over the year, in particular the number of female members in the club, which has grown to 20% of it’s almost 400 strong membership. Another huge growth area for the club has been the underage section. A powerful piece of devised theatre from An Táin Arts Centre’s company-in-residence exploring the issue of mental illness in Ireland. Cracks premiered in October 2016 and is back for a fourth run due to popular demand.

The annual devotions at Ladywell Shrine in Dundalk for the Rising of the Waters will take place on August 14th.
The devotions mass will begin at 11:15pm, starting with the Rosary. This will be followed by mass with the Blessings of the Water at midnight.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own bottles to be filled with holy water from the shrine, which can be blessed during the next day.
These personal devotions take place all day on the 15th of August.

THERE were not one but two holes in one at the recent Dundalk Lions Golf Classic which took place on the testing 18 hole layout attached to Ballymascanlon House Hotel on the outskirts of the Co Louth town.
Patricia McAllister, a 10 handicapper from Laytown & Bettystown, aced the 114 yard index five fifth hole with a seven iron while Paul Connolly of Swords Golf Club, who plays off 13, holed his hybrid tee shot on the 185 yard index 10 14th hole.
