Freda Hearty and the Dance Kids have once again exceeded expectations and delighted audiences with their show ‘Summer Lovin’. The talented Dance Kids aged from just four years danced and sang their hearts out last weekend when ‘Summer Lovin’ took to An Tàin Theatre stage and brought the house down; with delighted audiences declaring it “the best show yet”.
With two packed shows, enchanted audiences were whisked back in time to Rydell High where Danny, Sandy, the pink ladies and the T-Birds performed to all the favourites from the musical ‘Grease’. The tiny tots got the biggest cheer of the night when they took to the stage to perform to songs from Pinocchio. Afterwards the audience were delighted with songs from ‘The Vamps’, ‘Bugsy Malone’, ‘Bruno Mars’ and ‘Pitch Perfect’ to name just a few.
The night of entertainment also included a trip to the Jungle Book where Mowgli and Baloo danced the night away with all the animals in the jungle. The Dance Kids also did a quick World tour bringing the audience from Africa to the USA with Shakalaka Baby and Kids in America right back to Ireland where the tiny tots performed to ‘It’s a Small World’.
After six months of hard work and two show-stopping performances from the Dance Kids, an exhausted but delighted Freda Hearty said “I am absolutely thrilled with how well the shows turned out, the feedback we have received has been overwhelming. It’s all about having fun and we had so much fun during ‘Summer Lovin’, we can’t wait for our Christmas show already. I would like to thank all the Dance Kids and their families, who are always so supportive.”
Preparations are now underway for the Dance Kids annual Christmas show, which will take place in An Tàin Theatre in December. New members are always welcome at Dance Kids classes, for further information contact Freda Hearty on 042-9339797. Dance Kids classes are an excellent way for kids to learn many talents in the field of dance, drama and song. They create an excellent opportunity for children to grow in confidence, perform on stage, become active, make friends and most importantly have fun!
