Irish patient-led charity Fighting Blindness will host a public information evening in Dundalk for people and families affected by vision loss. The event will focus on age-related macular degeneration and diabetes-related sight loss as well as rare genetic conditions that cause severe vision impairment, such as retinitis pigmentosa (RP), Usher syndrome, Stargardt disease, cone-rod dystrophies and many others.
There are 6,022 people in Louth living with severe vision impairment. This event is part of the on-going work of Fighting Blindness to raise awareness about different types of vision
