THERE were not one but two holes in one at the recent Dundalk Lions Golf Classic which took place on the testing 18 hole layout attached to Ballymascanlon House Hotel on the outskirts of the Co Louth town.
Patricia McAllister, a 10 handicapper from Laytown & Bettystown, aced the 114 yard index five fifth hole with a seven iron while Paul Connolly of Swords Golf Club, who plays off 13, holed his hybrid tee shot on the 185 yard index 10 14th hole.
The event attracted 24 teams and the monies raised will go towards taking 120 senior citizens and carers for people with Alzheimers on a three day break to Galway.
