Dundalk’s Cuchulainn Cycling Club – AGM report

Dundalk’s Cuchulainn Cycling Club recently held their AGM in The Spirit Store to discuss the season past and to outline the future development of the club. Club Chairman Sé Weston in his opening address outlined some of the some of the club’s milestones over the year, in particular the number of female members in the club, which has grown to 20% of it’s almost 400 strong membership. Another huge growth area for the club has been the underage section. Two holes in one at the Dundalk Lions classic

THERE were not one but two holes in one at the recent Dundalk Lions Golf Classic which took place on the testing 18 hole layout attached to Ballymascanlon House Hotel on the outskirts of the Co Louth town.

Patricia McAllister, a 10 handicapper from Laytown & Bettystown, aced the 114 yard index five fifth hole with a seven iron while Paul Connolly of Swords Golf Club, who plays off 13, holed his hybrid tee shot on the 185 yard index 10 14th hole.

Dundalk Lions Club Annual Golf Classic – Ballymac on Friday 13th July.

The Dundalk Lions Club Annual Golf Classic takes place on Friday 13th of July at Ballymascanlon Golf Course. Its a four person scamble with a shotgun start at 1 pm.

€50 per person gets you a round of golf and an evening meal in the hotel with entertainment. Sponsorship of a Tee Box or a Green is available for €25.

Also numerous prizes including Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin.

CAR BOOT SALE  IN AID OF Rape Crisis North East – 24th June 2018

Rape Crisis North East is inviting you to come along to their Car Boot Sale on Sunday 24th June, 2018 in McEvoy’s Car Park, Bachelor’s Walk entrance, Dundalk.

Admission for buyers is €2.00 per person, free entry for children attending with parents. Organised by Rape Crisis North East, the event takes place from 10:00am to 4:00pm and sellers with their cars can set-up from 9:00am at a fee of €10.00 per car and €15.00 per van.

Blackrock Raft Race – 17th June 2018

The annual Blackrock Tidy Towns Raft Race takes place in June each year with about 30 rafts taking to the water. The event is FREE to attend but there is an entry fee for any team wishing to take the plunge but all funds go to Blackrock Tidy Towns.
